Starting March 7th Services will be held at The South Forty
On March 7th we will be relocating our Sunday worship from the theatre parking lot to Colleton County’s biggest outdoor covered meeting space. This beautiful venue gives us the opportunity to gather closer together while still taking safety precautions.
Underneath the 7,200 sq ft covered area there will be two large seating areas. One side designated strictly for those who feel most vulnerable and who seek to take great precautions. The other side for those without pre-existing conditions, but who are willing to be mindful of those around them. Those in the less vulnerable section can take their mask off anytime they are sitting in their seats. However, everyone underneath the shelter itself have to wear their mask any other time for the safety of everyone.
Outside of the covered worship space will be many areas individuals and families can sit and safely distance from others. You can bring your own chairs for the outside space. We definitely don’t want you underneath the sheltered area if you don’t feel comfortable. Also, whether sitting in the grass or in your car you can easily hear and see the worship service. Folks in cars can either roll their windows down or tune into 107.7FM.
Now, we will be offering two different service options: 9:15am and 11am. The 9:15am service will offer nothing for children. The 11am service will offer something for K-4 through 3rd graders only. We’re sorry for this limitation, but it’s all we can offer at this time.
We will offer a craft/Bible story time for kids in K4-3rd grade during the message time of our 11:00am service beginning March 7th @ The South Forty. Children will stay with parents during worship and then be dismissed to class afterwards. This class will be outside so be sure they are dressed appropriately for the weather.
We need volunteers who can be flexible with whatever we have to do. Also, we will have busy bags with crayons, coloring book, and a fidget toy available prior to the service. Hopefully, these will help kids who may get restless even during the worship music.
We know many will love this new beautiful outdoor worship venue. Especially once God brings with it some nice spring weather. Thanks for being patient as we make the safest decisions possible. Please join us with a positive, expectant attitude. Oh, and go ahead and invite someone to join you.
