VISION & GUIDELINES
Group Goals: To provide Christ-like Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Encouragement for all involved.
Group Makeup – The gathering of 2 or more people in Jesus’ name rallied around some common ground. (Interest, Struggle, Season Of Life, Bible Study, Mission, Etc..)
(Matthew 18:20)(ESV) Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
(1 Corinthians 9:22-23)(NLT) “When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings.”
UNDERSTAND: The common ground may revolve around something great, but it’s just a bridge to produce opportunity for small group fellowship with other believers.
Group meeting times are determined by each group. They can be once a month, twice a month or weekly. Regular meeting times need to be pre-determined in such a way that others interested might know when and where they can become involved.
Care group times and locations need to be discussed and scheduled through church leadership. Therefore, we can do things in an orderly fashion and help get group info onto Care Group Handouts and onto our Website.
All groups will need a contact name, number, and email for those interested to get in contact with leaders.
We will not be able to mention every care group on Sundays. We will simply encourage folks to plug into a CARE group of their choice and explain where that info can be found. (Such as a ministry table, church website, & social media)
UNDERSTAND: In order to move forward as a church that will ultimately be reaching 500-1000 we can’t operate like a church of just 50.
As much as possible, groups need to meet outside the church walls in hopes of providing a more casual environment and to allow for further growth of the church. We always want to strive to meet people on their front porches because that is where the majority will be reached first.
CARE GROUPS are critical to the growth and health of our church. We don’t want ANYONE not feeling like SOMEONE that God dearly loves. As we grow larger we don’t want anyone involved left behind in that growth. Everybody needs a safe place they can be real and encouraged.
